School is back in session. If you're like me, life has gone into a hectic mode. My week is full of carting kids back to school, and the various things my kids are involved in. Not to mention my sixteen-year-old that doesn't have her license yet that we have to drive back and forth to work. Some families, when the summer ends, remove their kids from swimming lessons.
Keep on Swimming
When kids return to school as you probably know they learn what they did before they left. Sometimes they spend most of the first semester catching up on what they forgot over the summer. It doesn't have to be this way. What a waste of time!
With that being said, don't end your child's swim lessons when summer ends. Yes, I know your schedule goes into overdrive once school is in session, but it's so good for your child. If you keep the swimming lessons going, you will notice so many excellent benefits.
By keeping the lessons going, your child will not forget what they learned during the summer. They continue to grow, get exercise, and learn a life-long skill.
Also, your child is gone long hours of the day. This time you take out of your day to take your child for lessons or parent-tot swim is a bonding experience. When my daughter was little, we would go to parent-tot swim every Saturday morning. After swim lessons, we would go for bagels. My daughter loved this time we shared together as a family. She would get so excited about it.
