I've been dreaming about using my Keurig to make cocktails for years. This week it finally became a reality. Cask & Kettle Brewed Cocktails was just what this girl had been dreaming of but would the cocktails live up to my expectations? Find out.
Crafted Cocktails for Your Keurig
Apres Beverages is the maker of Cask & Kettle they're based out of Battle Creek, Michigan. Yay, for being a Michigan based company. The handcrafted artisan cocktails come in pods. You don't have to own a Keurig; you can also just use hot water. The delicious new flavors that were released are Irish Coffee and Spiked Dry Cider. Either can be served hot or over ice.
I tried both cocktails over a few nights. The first one I tried was Irish coffee. You simply place the pod in the brewer just like coffee and select 8 oz and brew. It was super simple. I loved it! No mixing shaking, stirring, or buying multiple products to make one item. All of the hard work is put into one little pod.
The Irish Coffee is 76 proof. Let me say that when I have a cocktail that I want to be able to taste the alcohol, and I sure did with this Irish Coffee it isn't overpowering though. I would have to say it's simply perfect. I added a little Stevia, but honestly, it was sweet and might not have needed a thing. You could even try your favorite creamer mixed with it. The taste was rich, warm, and luxurious. I could picture myself waking up on Christmas morning with this in my hand and a little whipped cream on the top.
I would, without a doubt, repurchase the Irish Coffee. If you like Irish Coffee run, I had to look up to see where the closest store that carries this heavenly delight is to my house. Under a mile..woot. Here is the link to find your nearest store https://caskandkettleusa.com/where-to-buy/.
The Spiked Dry Cider is flavorful. The apple taste is vibrant and alive. This drink would be perfect after you grab some fresh donuts from a cider mill. In fact, I need to make that happen. Yum! This drink was excellent, and I enjoyed it. I did love the Irish Coffee more.
Cask & Kettle will be releasing two new flavors in August. Yes, please! The first one is Mexican Coffee, and the second is Hot Blonde Coffee. I can't wait to try these!
