5 Things on Friday

Welcome to 5 things on Friday. It's been awhile since I've had time to catch up with you. Life has been so busy. This weekend I finally get to stay home!

1. Last weekend my cottage wasn't rented out, so my mom, daughter, and my friend and I went up north for a little getaway. The weather was a bit chilly, but that was okay. I didn't feel wonderful all weekend, but we still had fun. We did plenty of eating out, shopping, and puzzles. Yes, I know such party animals!

2. I had an extra house guest for 10 days. I watched my sister's dog. He was such a good boy. It's hard to believe that he's 17 years old. Life goes by so quickly.

3. We are wrapping up the end of the school year. It's hard to believe that I will soon have a seventh grader and a tenth grader. It's like you blink, and you no longer have babies. One day you pick them up from school, and they're almost grown.

4. I've been busy this week working on the weeds in my backyard. We have this weed that grows tall and extends underground. It's a significant pain in the butt. I've been working on it a little every day before I shower since I'm allergic to it.

5. Our pool kicked the bucket when the wind storm blew it away. Our trip for this weekend was canceled, so it's time to get the backyard in order. I want to bring in dirt and grass seed.
