Some of my favorite memories when my kids were little were the days we spent at the Detroit Zoo. I would meet my friends every Wednesday during the summer for the concerts. We would load up the mini-van with a wagon, blankets and of course all of my kid's favorite snacks.
The music would play gently and happily while the sun was setting gloriously. My kids would smile a mile wide with Oreo's hanging off their precious little faces while they were totally rocking out to the band. Check out the video below from when they were small.

On Wednesday nights starting July 11 and running through August 29, the Detroit Zoo comes alive with Wild Summer Nights! The concerts take place in the Main Picnic Grove from 6:30-8PM (weather permitting) featuring a variety of live music that is family-friendly! So pack a picnic and blanket and get ready to have some fun!
Just a friendly reminder that alcohol or glass isn't allowed on the property and items will be inspected upon entrance. If you don't feel like packing a picnic, no worries. There is food available to purchase at the Detroit Zoo!
