Fogo De Chao Troy
Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian Steakhouse, and the restaurant is stunning Each table is covered merely with a white tablecloth, but it looks elegant. The lightning is perfect and sets the mood for a romantic dinner. Not only is the restaurant gorgeous and warm but the food is displayed spectacularly. The food is bright, colorful and visually stunning.
The above pictures are from the Market Table. The Market Table & Feijoada Bar are your starters to your meal when you purchase the Full Churrasco Experience which is available for lunch & dinner.
I tend to eat healthily. I started my meal out with butternut squash soup, tabouli, mushrooms, olives, and cheeses.
My absolute favorite item that I fell in love with right away was called the Caipiroska. It was so tasty that I had two. The bottom of the cocktail has a layer of cane sugar. This drink is made with a lime and vodka. I highly recommend it. So good!
After you finish the first course, you are brought out a few sides.
The sides include rolls, mashed potatoes, and the items pictured above. The items pictured above are fried bananas and kind of like a corn biscuit. I loved the flavor of the corn biscuit.
Next, comes the course that Fogo De Chao is FAMOUS for, the endless meats. On your table, you have a card. Green means bring more meat, and red means stop.
As you can see from the picture, my husband was in meat heaven!
As the wait staff walks by if they see your card is green they stop by and ask you if you would like some of whatever meat they're presenting. Don't worry Fogo De Chao meats are anywhere from rare to well-done so there is something for everyone.
My personal favorite was the bacon chicken. All items are seasoned perfectly. Just about every piece I tried was so tender and full of flavor. My husband LOVED the meats!
After speaking with the wait staff, I decided on the molten cake for dessert. My waitress poured some sort of liquor on it to improve the flavor. It was so good. I loved it. Of course, the chocolate center was to die for.
Fogo De Chao Troy treats you like royalty. I felt like a princess for the night. The food was so good. This restaurant is upscale. It's not a place to just show up in jeans and a t-shirt.
The pricing tends to be on the higher side with dinner costing close to $50 per person not including drinks or dessert. But, I do think this is the perfect place to splurge for a birthday, date night, or any other type of celebration because the food and experience are worth every penny. So, make reservations and enjoy a beautiful evening in Troy, Michigan.
Fogo De Chao Troy is located at 301 W Big Beaver Rd in Troy!
