Swimming With and Without Goggles
So, that brings us to swimming with and without goggles. This one isn't really an issue for me because the water doesn't bother my eyes but I know it can be a problem for many people. I know I rarely see my girls without goggles on. My youngest spends her days doing flip-flops and pretending she's a mermaid.Summer is the perfect time for learning about water safety and practicing swimming with and without a pair of goggles in the water.
We have a pool in our backyard. We also own a boat and love waterparks. So, this week while my ten-year-old is a beautiful mermaid in our pool it's time to do a little practicing.
If my daughter knows that we're going into learning or education mode, it no longer becomes fun. I recommend making this a game when you have your child in the water.
So with her, I'm going to mention how mermaids don't wear goggles and let her practice her flips without any eyewear. Whatever you child enjoys incorporate it into a little learning session.
Most kids love the water so make these sessions short and fun until your child is a pro swimming with and without goggles!
Is your child comfortable in the water? Or, would you like to further their water skills? Well, Aqua-Tots has a bunch of Metro Detroit locations!
