I first heard of Captain Underpants when my kids were small. Captain Underpants was one of the hot library books that all the kids couldn't wait to race over to see if they were one of the lucky ones that would get to check it out. I was excited to do the Captain Underpants movie review to find out what my family would think of the book brought to life in this new animated film.
Captain Underpants Movie Review
Captain Underpants the movie is based on the children's books and has an all-star cast including Kevin Hart from Mall Cop. George and Harold are two besties with a great sense of humor and mischief. The principal who is a dud is turned magically into Captain Underpants with a snap of the fingers from George and Harold. Will the school survive Captain Underpants?
Here's what I LOVED about the film. It made me snort with laughter and inappropriately cackle when no one else was laughing. Yes, I'm that girl.
Make sure you look carefully at the things in the background. There are little writings on the wall that are cute that you need to catch.
I adored that the movie was about friendship. When I see my kids and think back to the friendships I had growing up I'm reminded that some friends are life-long and my kids could be developing those friend now.
What did we think of Captain Underpants? My husband and I loved it. There was a ton of adult humor that had us laughing. We both felt that this movie was super creative.
My girls didn't love it. They thought it was just okay. Hello, kids what is wrong with you?
You may just enjoy this movie more than your children. I say go see it!
