 I love my diffuser. I have managed to catch my kid's cooties this year, and it's really come in handy to help me stop coughing.  My diffuser works better than cough syrup for me. So, I will give you a list of my favorite essential oils. Most of the time I use my diffuser probably 15 hours a day, so after awhile I have gross chunks of mold floating around. How to Clean a Diffuser

Start with an empty diffuser. Fill up your diffuser about 1/3 of the way with water. Add about 10-15 drops of white vinegar and give it a swirl to mix it properly. 
Daily Chef Distilled White Vinegar Jug, 1 gal


Allow your diffuser to run for 5-10 minutes so the vinegar can work it's cleaning magic.

 Rinse and dry the diffuser out. You will find you may still have a few spots of mold. Take a q-tip to reach the tricky places to get the diffuser completely free of mold.
