Disclosure: I was invited to a special event at Punch Bowl Social to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own. |
Last week I was invited to check out Punch Bowl Social in Detroit, MI. I had walked by several times before but this was my first time going inside. I was very impressed with the space and the variety of activities. The decor is a mix of old-fashioned, rustic, industrial, and modern. I enjoyed the view of the street out the big picture windows. We were given a tour including the upstairs which was reserved that night for a private party.

Next, we sampled several appetizers, share plates, and diner menu items. My favorites were the cauliflower nachos and the Chicken and Waffles. The nachos were so tasty and cheesy that you couldn't even tell they had cauliflower. The waffles were sweet with strawberries, maple syrup, and candied walnuts.
Finally, it was time for my favorite course, dessert! We tried the chocolate cake, cheesecake, and carrot cake. I loved the chocolate cake and carrot cake. The cheesecake was a bit salty tasting. I hope they have the key lime cheesecake the next time I visit.
Arcade, bowling, several bar areas, karaoke, private party rooms, and more at Punch Bowl Social. |
Speaking of the next time I visit, I think it would be so much fun to plan an event at Punch Bowl Social this fall, like a Mom's night out, couples night, or family night. Their current special is kids bowl free on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays. Plus they offer birthday parties. My daughter will be 14 in December and I think she would love a fun karaoke and gaming party with her teen friends. They even serve kids punch bowls made with sprite.
