I've always been a HUGE Kroger fan. I had my routine down! Every Monday morning after I would drop the kids off at school I would stop by the Westland or Canton Kroger to do my grocery shopping for the week. I would first stop by the sushi stand to have the sushi girl make me my favorite crunchy roll. While she was creating it to perfection, I would do my grocery shopping. I even had a favorite cashier that I would only check out in his line. I was happy going there and then I moved. The Kroger by my new home was not like my old Kroger store. I was very depressed over this, and my weekly routine came to an end. Now I have a new Kroger location 12 minutes from my home in Roseville, Michigan. I am ready to return to my store and let me tell you this store is fantastic! 
Did you know that Kroger stores have employees in their stores that are cheese professionals? Jimmie is one of only 5 people in the state of Michigan that has passed a certified cheese test. He trains the other Kroger cheese employees. So, if you want to know the perfect cheese to use for wine tasting, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, or anything else you can come up with, just ask the wonderful cheese department at Kroger. They are pretty amazing and highly trained on the subject.
Here is a picture of the melting cheese section. On each card, it shows what the cheese could be used for, what wine should be paired with it, and what country or state it comes from. Perfect for planning a girls night out, a dinner party, or just a romantic dinner! Can you tell I'm totally excited about the cheese department at the Roseville Kroger?
Is the wait at your deli too long? Did you know you can order your deli meat at this little kiosk and then receive a pickup time in about 15 minutes? How cool is that? 

Did you know that the new Roseville Kroger has a Bistro along with Starbucks? I'm a huge fan of this. I usually grab something to eat while I'm grocery shopping, especially if I have the kids with me. That way they won't want to buy everything in the store. Also, it's a great place to go for lunch for people that work in the area!
The new Roseville Kroger Store is simply gorgeous. There are so many ways for you to personalize your experience. There is a self service bread slicer, expanded simple truth and organic meat sections, meat and seafood counter, full service pharmacy with drive up window, furniture, a large selection of kitchen gadgets and tableware, fine wine, and even WiFi.
You can buy items here that other stores don't carry. Watch for more organic and specialty products being added all the time. They have made the back rooms smaller to give the store more shopping space with wider aisles. Plus there isn't as much back stock. The produce department gets organic deliveries 6 days a week. This means you will find the freshest produce.

In addition to the excellent selection of wines, beer, & spirits you will find a fine wine wall that is temperature controlled. They also have a Beverage Steward on hand to answer your questions. Often they will offer samples and tasting events. You can look for these tastings weekdays on Wednesday or Thursday nights from 4-7 pm and also on weekends from 1-4 pm.
