I always like to check out the new tv shows and movies on Netflix, but there are some that I like to watch over again, too. Soon I will be able to watch some of my old favorites with my daughters. I hope to become best friends with them like Lorelai & Rory are on the Gilmore Girls. Here are some other unique, modern families.

THE BOXTROLLS is a great family movie. I've seen it twice with my kids.

Another fun family movie that we watched recently was Ella Enchanted.
#NetflixBetween BETWEEN is the story of a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21 years old and under. The series explores the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves. 6 episodes will air, on Thursdays at 8:30pm PT. There are 2 episodes currently available. After watching those, I'm interested to see what happens next in this mystery show coming from Canada.
A Netflix comedy special featuring renowned story-teller Jen Kirkman, best known for her appearances on Chelsea Lately and the award-winning web series Drunk History.
I watched Jen Kirkman 's I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine). It was funny and made me laugh, but 78 minutes was a bit long.

I saw THE BEST OF ME at the theater last year. It was a good movie for when you are in the mood for a romantic chick flick. Available on Netflix on 6/03/15.

#Sense8 looks like an interesting new show. I like that one of the actors from LOST is in it. One moment links 8 minds, putting 8 strangers in each other's lives, each other's secrets, and in terrible danger. It's a whole new world, from the creators of The Matrix, on Friday, June 5th.
