I received the costume from birthday in a box, it included the dress and the headpiece for $44.98. Here are my tips for this costume. I'm normally a size 6, this costume tends to run a tiny bit on the small size, so if you're in between sizes go up one size. The 8-10 fit me perfectly and was super comfortable. This is a quality costume. It's not super thin or see-through.
Also, if you have a ton of hair like I do make sure you use a wig cap. They're sometimes a bit tricky to put on but make costumes look so much more professional when you use them. Before you put the wig cap on your head, flip your hair upside down and make a ponytail with your hands. Apply the wig cap to the back of your head first, then slowly pull it over your crown. This takes a little practice. Any pieces that fall out just push into the cap. When you put the Maleficent headpiece on, make sure none of the wig cap shows.
I completed my look with black boots. The dress doesn't come all the way down, so I think knee boots look the best.
Would I recommend this costume? Yes, it is very well made. It's not made cheaply, like a ton of other costumes are. You can find Maleficent and many other great costumes at birthday in an box. They even have really great party supplies.
