TAKE A CHANCE ON SUMMER ZOOMANCE
Thursday, July 10 at the Detroit Zoo
6 – 9:00 p.m.
21-and-over (No one under the age of 21 will be admitted)
Adults are invited to fall in love with the Detroit Zoo all over again at Summer Zoomance. The after-hours, 21-and-older event takes place Thursday, July 10, 2014, 6 to 9 p.m. Admission for all guests is $12 in advance and $14 after July 4.
Summer Zoomance allows grownups to relive their fond memories of the Detroit Zoo while creating new ones with twilight stroll among the award-winning animal habitats.
Blues guitarist and vocalist Laith Al-Saadi will perform, and food and adult beverages will be available for purchase. The rain-or-shine event will also feature complimentary tram tours as well as animal enrichment and zookeeper talks at the Holden Reptile Conservation Center and the giraffe and snow monkey habitats.
Guests can take a spin on the Carousel for an additional $2 and enjoy a scenic ride through the Zoo on the Tauber Family Railroad for a one-way fare of $3.
Crystal & I are so excited for this event! We look forward to moms nights out and date nights. It's not often that we have the opportunity to visit the zoo without kids. You can read all about the fun time we had at the Wild Wine Zoo event we attended last year:
We hope to see you there!
July 10 is the first of two Summer Zoomance dates in 2014; a second event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 21. Tickets for Summer Zoomance can be purchased online at http://www.detroitzoo.org/events/zoomance as well as at the admission gates.
