Yes, 1st Grade Math Stumps Me!

So, Keira comes home with this math sheet filled with boxes and random numbers.  Do, I want to be the crazy Mom, that calls the teacher to say, "Duh, I don't know how to do this."  Seriously, we are talking first grade math, not rocket science.  I graduated from college with pretty darn close to a 4.o, and I can't figure out a math sheet.  What is the world coming to when there is no longer simple adding and subtraction?

Matt A.K.A, math genius (my husband), didn't get it.  Finally, I was like Keira do you know how to do this?  She started whipping out lines, and filling out boxes.  A light must have went off in Matt's math genius mind.  He understood the first grade math, we could now pass first grade.  What a relief!
